1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using UnitedSamaj (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access or use our services.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, organization administrators, and others who access or use the Platform.

2. Description of Services

UnitedSamaj provides a platform for:

• Community organizations to create and manage their profiles
• Creating, publishing, and managing events
• Event registration, reservations, and free or paid ticketing where enabled by an organizer
• Fundraising pages that allow supporters to make donations using the payment methods shown on each page
• Following organizations to receive event notifications
• Connecting community members with local organizations and events

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To access certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree to:

You may register as an individual for personal use or as an organization representative. An individual account is separate from an organization account and does not create an organization profile or authorize you to act on behalf of an organization.

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security of your password and accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account

3.2 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• All activities that occur under your account
• Keeping your personal account information accurate and up-to-date, or ensuring your organization information is accurate and up-to-date if you use an organization account
• Maintaining appropriate contact information for event attendees

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate these Terms and Conditions
• Provide false or misleading information
• Engage in fraudulent or harmful activities
• Remain inactive for an extended period

4. Organizations

4.1 Organization Registration

When registering an organization, you represent and warrant that:

• You have the authority to register the organization
• The organization is a legitimate community, religious, cultural, or non-profit organization
• All information provided about the organization is accurate and not misleading

4.2 Organization Content

Organizations are responsible for all content they publish, including:

• Organization profiles and descriptions
• Event listings and details
• Images and media
• Communications with followers and attendees
• Ticket prices, availability, event-specific terms, and any cancellation or refund information they provide
• Fundraising descriptions, the stated campaign recipient, and the use of funds raised

5. Events

5.1 Event Creation

When creating events, organizers must:

• Provide accurate event details including date, time, and location
• Clearly state any costs, requirements, or restrictions
• Update or cancel events in a timely manner if circumstances change
• Comply with all applicable local laws and venue requirements

5.2 Registration and ticket purchases

Events may offer free reservations or paid tickets. The organizer sets ticket availability, event requirements, and event-specific terms. Review the event details, organizer terms, ticket price, and any booking fee shown before confirming. Unless the checkout expressly says otherwise, a ticket order is a one-time payment and does not authorize recurring charges.

A booking is confirmed only as stated in the checkout or confirmation message. The organizer is responsible for delivering the event and communicating changes. Contact the organizer about event cancellations, changes, or ticket refund requests; the organizer’s published terms apply subject to your rights under applicable law.

5.3 Payments and third-party processors

Available payment methods are shown during checkout and may include card payments processed by Stripe. Payment processing is provided by third parties and may also be subject to their terms and privacy notices. Prices, currency, and any booking fee are shown before you submit payment. We do not control third-party payment services and cannot guarantee their availability.

5.4 Fundraising and donations

Fundraising pages are created and managed by organizations. Check the campaign description, stated recipient, amount, and currency before donating. Payment options vary by campaign and may include card payment or bank transfer; a bank-transfer contribution may remain pending until the organization confirms receipt.

Unless a campaign page expressly states otherwise, we do not promise that a donation is tax-deductible. We do not provide tax advice. Contact the campaign organization about how funds are used or about a donation error, cancellation, or refund request. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

6. Email Notifications and Followers

By following an organization, you consent to receive:

• Event announcements from followed organizations
• Important updates about events you've registered for

You can unsubscribe from organization notifications at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or through your account settings.

7. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use the Platform to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content
• Promote illegal activities or events
• Harass, abuse, or harm others
• Send spam or unsolicited communications
• Collect user data without consent
• Impersonate others or misrepresent affiliations
• Upload malicious code or interfere with Platform operations
• Violate intellectual property rights
• Promote discrimination or hate speech

8. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, features, and content created by UnitedSamaj, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary content without permission.

You retain ownership of content you create (organization profiles, events, etc.) but grant us a license to display and distribute this content on the Platform.

9. Disclaimers

We do not guarantee:

• The accuracy of information posted by organizations
• The quality, safety, or legality of events
• Uninterrupted or error-free Platform operation
• That all organizations or events are legitimate

10. Limitation of Liability

UnitedSamaj shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Your use of or inability to use the Platform
• Any events attended through the Platform
• Conduct of other users or organizations
• Unauthorized access to your data
• Content posted by third parties

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UnitedSamaj and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your use of the Platform
• Content you post on the Platform
• Events you organize through the Platform

12. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

We will notify users of significant changes via email or Platform notification.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the Platform shall be resolved through:

1. Good faith negotiation between the parties
2. Mediation by a mutually agreed mediator
3. Binding arbitration or court proceedings as a last resort

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
